Meet the minds behind the designs
Kirk Albert Kirk Albert

Kirk Albert has always been drawn to the perfectly imperfect, “I believe there is an extraordinary quality to objects that have been handcrafted, or aged over decades, that simply cannot be replicated.” This belief guides Albert throughout his work as owner of Kirk Albert Vintage Furnishings, his showroom he fills with a mix of eclectic vintage artifacts and unique pieces he designs.

Kirk Albert’s specialty is creating  high impact pieces, that recontextualize vintage objects and blend the artistic and functional, “I've had a passion for bold interiors since I can remember,” Albert says, “I’m motivated by anything that generates conversation.”

‘Whether they are installed in a retail environment, made useful in a new restaurant, an office or a residence, I’m always thrilled when someone shares my appreciation for perfect imperfections”, Kirk Albert says, “having pieces that I've sourced or designed in someone's home is the ultimate honor. “

Lucas Design Lucas Design

Founded by David, Suzie and Rachel Lucas—a trio of New York-native siblings and collaborators now based in the Pacific Northwest—our interior design studio specializes in the creation of personal sanctuaries. Our process yields spaces that are uniquely centered on the ways people live and work, entertain and unwind.

Our limited-edition collaborations let the materials speak. They define the point where architecture becomes furniture and furniture becomes the basis of a collector’s personal rituals.

Mark MacLachlan Mark MacLachlan

Mark MacLachlan remembers his love of design being sparked by his grandparent's small ranch home in California. "We spent a lot of our childhood in that house. I remember the front doorknob was large and in the center of the door…a kidney shaped sofa in the family room, a hallway planter that ran the length of the living room. It’s here where I began to develop my fondness for mid-century design". This eye for detail and a love for the creative process has helped drive MacLachlan throughout his design career, most recently as Senior Manager for Store Design at Nordstrom where he led the store design team for the Nordstrom's flagship store in New York City.

"I’m motivated by the love of the design process.  I enjoy the sense of creating something that brings joy and beauty into peoples lives.  The love of materials and emotions they inspire. A beautiful patina that gets better with age because it’s made of something real. Designing objects that are both timeless and beautiful….all these things inspire me."

Matt Adams Matt Adams
Matt Adams is a talented artist, designer, and creative entrepreneur. He is the founder of Signature Pick and the artistic energy behind Redsoul, his high-end fabrication and metal shop in Seattle, WA. His passion for collaboration and reputation for quality work has led to projects with many renowned brands including Nordstrom and the Seattle Mariners, and work with interior designers, artists and others looking for quality craftsmanship and artistic vision.

Matt always had a creative drive, “I’ve always liked to draw, ever since I was a kid. It was just the easiest cheapest way to be creative. I mean, you had a piece of paper and a pencil.” This led him to pursue art and it was a college sculpture class project that guided him to metalwork. Tasked to personalize a chair, he converted a scavenged exercise bike into a custom chopper. “It wasn’t that I had some deep passion for chop motorcycles”, Matt says, “but I really was attracted to the creating and the hands on fabrication and customizing of things. I like the idea of creating something that's never existed before.”

He got a job at a custom motorcycle shop where he taught himself to weld and learned the tools of the trade. Matt eventually established his own shop and as the chopper trend died out, started creating more art and using his passion for customization on furniture. “I like designing products, but I enjoy more sculptural stuff’, he says, “I don’t want to just make a chair to sit in, I would rather make something to wow. Whenever you can make someone go ‘wow’, that’s probably the highest compliment you can get.”
